Signing up for health insurance-whether through
Medicaid or the Marketplace-can be intimidating,
confusing, and stressful. And many people may simply
not know that they are eligible for the financial
assistance that’s available as part of these coverage
programs. That’s why SCACAP was funded by
Community Catalyst to administer a program called
Organizing for Outreach. This program focuses on
connecting with people who are more likely to be or
become uninsured and help make the enrollment
process much easier.
If you no longer qualify for Medicaid, you may be able to
purchase a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Financial assistance may be
available. Go to healthcare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 to check out your coverage options.
