The function of the SC CAP Directors’ Association is to promote a better understanding of the problems of the poor among the citizens of South Carolina. To do this, the SC CAP Directors’ Association seek additional resources for the community action agencies in South Carolina and further the objectives of the community action program.
The South Carolina State Head Start Association works to create safe, healthy, nurturing learning environments for all children in South Carolina. Head Start is a free program for young children from low-income families. Children who participate take part in fun activities which help develop educational and social skills. They also receive nutritious meals, health care, and play in a supervised setting.
The purpose of this partnerships is to create comprehensive strategic plans and information, provide and expand the range of services offer to customers, and to serve as a liaison with state and local governments for members. SC Community Action Partnership (SCCAP) advances the cause of the disadvantaged and those who serve them. It promotes the interest and increases the usefulness of member individuals and member agencies.
